Benfica vs Newcastle United

UEFA Europa League, 04.04.2013, 21:05h

Benfica should take a good advantage here, as they are not only the better team from the two, but also is taking this cup more seriously than their opponent tonight.Benfica is in great run of six wins in a row in all  competitions recently, as well as they have no defeat in all competitions in the regular time since October last year, which is a pretty big and impressive run. Benfica_v_Newcastle_UnitedThey have played 28 games since that defeat against Spartak Moscow and have managed to win the incredible 23 of them (23-5-0). Benfica is having a comfortable four points lead over Porto in the league and now can concentrate on the performance against Newcastle in the Europa League this week, as a place in the last four will be a really good performance. At home the team is even more convincing. Benfica have lost for the last time in front of their fans again in October, with 0:2 against Barcelona in the Champions League. Since then they had played 16 games and draw just once in those matches (15-1-0). Salvio (23/8) is the only big miss for the home side. Newcastle once again is in the fight against relegation in the Premier League and I think that Pardew will be thinking more for their game in the league this weekend, then for the performance in the Europa League. Also the team is playing really bad on the road this season, as they have won just two of their last fifteen games as visitors in all competitions (2-2-11). The injury problems are also still there, as for one or another reason for today out are Coloccini, Ben Arfa, Tiote, Debuchy, Gouffran and Haidara. I will take Benfica -1 AH here, as I’m pretty sure they will win, but there is a big chance to do that with more than one goal difference.

Bet: Benfica -1 AH @ 1.81
