Farnborough Town vs Chelmsford City

England, Conference South, 27.04.2013, 16:00h

I very seldom bet on aways. Statistically you get very little chance of making a yield which is higher than that which you could get if you took the alternative and infinitely more boring investment route of saving with a bank (although the two main Scandinavian leagues such as Norway / Sweden and the English Championship can tend have thriving systems as graveyards for short odd home pickers)…however this is something of a must for me. farnboroughAfter losing an appeal due to the fact they are in administration Farnborough have not been able to sign an emergency loan deal to secure a keeper and have played without one for the last 2 games resulting in a win and a draw against two sides they would ordinarily expect to wallop in already relegated basement dwellers Truro City and Billericay. So what is the problems with that you might ask?…well quite simply because of the goalkeeper effect they conceded 3 goals in both games against these not exactly free scoring sides. Play-off bound Chelmsfords would be an entirely different proposition altogether. Initially I had a look at the over 3.5 goals but avoided it as Chelmsford play with a 4/5/1 formation…I also feel that Farnborough will undoubtedly play as high up the field as possible which may nullify the goal threat somewhat. However, surely a Chelmsford side who still have an interest in winning (unlike Farnborough) as they can still get third position which enhances their chances of getting the all important home leg 1st play-off game and also their hopes of getting a home play-off final, should be too strong for a team with a midfielder in their goal who has shipped 6 in two games against two awful sides.
