Levante vs Rayo Vallecano

The reverse fixture was 0-0 despite VALLECANO having 69% possession against the away teams 31%, such stats are the norm for Levante, they are a team who prefer to give the opponent the ball and catch them on the break, that´s why they are better suited to playing on the road and not the Ciudad de Valencia stadium, whilst they may have beat Malaga at home, anyone watching the game would realize that this result had a lot to do with Malaga´s poor finishing, a win for the visitors would have been in order has Levante did absolutely nothing once the goal went in, they where dire!  In recent years VALLECANO have taken the points when playing away to the lesser known Valencia team, big scoring 2-3 and 3-5 where the results, whilst this is a cup game both teams are taking it serious, Paco Jamez the coach of El Rayo has his team in top form, they beat Getafe last weekend by 1-0 and in recent games they did a 2-2 with Betis and won 2-0 away to Celta Vigo, a 2-1 loss to At. Bilbao was nothing to be ashamed of, the latter are unbeaten at home since playing in their new stadium and VALLECONO did well to have 55% possession, granted a bit of luck they could have pointed, Bueno is playing very well just behind front man Castilo, unlike with the Malaga forwards, these two won´t need many bites at the cherry!  Coach Martinez might well be happy with the result following the 3 points his team collected at the weekend, however, he could not have been happy with the performance, his team looked lifeless, he will expect them to go out and make the game and that´s where we expect it to go wrong!
